Glamptuary Review - A-Frame Club

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE A STAY IN A STYLISH A-FRAME, A DELICIOUS DINNER, AND A NEW GLAMPING RESORT LOCATED MINUTES AWAY FROM WINTER PARK SKI RESORT IN COLORADO.

Location, location, location.

I imagine these words were top of mind when Kyle Zeppelin decided to erect a new Glamptuary just minutes away from one of Colorado’s beloved ski resorts, Winter Park.

Zeppelin Development’s new venture, located in what is referred to as “Old Town Winter Park,” is a stylish collection of A-Frame cabins situated on a beautiful 3-acre plot of land.

Aptly named A-Frame Club (although there is no real club membership), this new Glamptuary is comprised of 31 A-Frame cabins standing 28 ft. tall. Each cabin boasts a 475 sq. ft. interior, with two levels and an attached back patio.

In addition to the cabins, there is an outdoor event space, and a swanky bar + restaurant onsite that is a very popular apres-ski destination.

Our A-Frame

Upon arrival, which is contactless, I was struck by the ground plan design which maximized the space.

Credit goes to Skylab Architecture for designing a layout that maximizes profit…and first impressions for guests as they arrive.

Eye-catching design aesthetic also led the way on the interior of our cabin. There was an overall nostalgic 70’s decor, with modern amenities sprinkled in and around the cabin.

Comfort may have taken a back seat to style in a couple instances, namely the couch and lack of seating. Our dogs, Kazan and Wally, were able to get comfy like they always do.

Where comfort matters most, A-Frame delivered. The top floor bedroom offered vaulted ceilings, windows with stunning views, a king-size bed with memory foam mattress, and a free standing bath tub - all earning the A grade for the A-Frame Club.

We settled in for the night, knowing we had a big day on the slopes ahead of us at Winter Park. Like I said at the beginning of this review, A-Frame Club is just minutes from the Gondola with a shuttle pick up conveniently located right outside the main entrance. When you’re hauling ski or snowboard gear, being near a shuttle is a HUGE plus.

While A-Frame Club is in no way affiliated with Winter Park Ski Resort, I’d be remiss if I didn’t share some snaps from the slopes.

After a full day of skiing, we were HUNGRY!

Fortunately, we had a reservation at A-Frame Club’s restaurant named The Grill which is situated right next to The Saloon.

Both The Saloon and The Grill were packed when we arrived and from what I was told, this is a daily occurrence after the slopes close down at 4:30 PM MT. My friendly advice is make a reservation (or leave the slopes a little early). On weekend nights A-Frame Club brings in a DJ from 5 PM - 7 PM, and the result is often an impromptu dance party.

Our quads were gassed from skiing, so we were more than happy to move right into our seats for a delicious meal which consisted of french onion soup, a fresh vegetable salad, a perfectly grilled filet, and a delicious banana split sundae.

After a full day, and with our full bellies, we retired back to our A-frame for a cozy night in with the doggos.

The next morning, Christina enjoyed a relaxing bath while taking in the morning light.

I headed out to the slopes for a short morning rip session before we headed back home.

Our stay was short and sweet, and A-Frame Club was the perfect basecamp for us to mix a little luxury with some winter adventure.

Safe travels everyone!
