Glamptuary Gratitude - Top 10 Things To Be Thankful For - 2025 Edition
THANKSGIVING 2025 IS IN FULL EFFECT, AND I’D LIKE TO WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY TURKEY DAY.
IT’S ALSO TIME FOR THE GLAMPTUARY GRATITUDE LIST.
EVERY YEAR ON THANKSGIVING, I WRITE ABOUT THE TOP 10 THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR.
LIKE EVERY YEAR, THERE WAS A MIX OF GOOD, NOT-SO-GOOD, ELATION, FRUSTRATION, LAUGHTER, TEARS, AND CHALLENGES THAT I AM WORKING TO OVERCOME.
AND THROUGH IT ALL, I FEEL GRATEFUL. WHY?
BECAUSE WHAT’S MOST IMPORTANT TO ME IS NOT WHAT HAPPENS ON THE OUTSIDE, IT’S HOW I FEEL ON THE INSIDE. AND I HAVE LOTS TO FEEL GRATEFUL FOR.
I’m always up to something…
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.” - Ferris Bueller
I love this quote.
I’ve learned to adopt this practice over the years, with an addition. I make sure to not only look around… but look around and appreciate what I have, instead of stressing about what I don’t.
I’ve found that by focusing on what I have, I can build.
It’s not possible to build anything when you focus on what you don’t have.
And if Ferris Bueller is right, and life moves fast, then there isn’t time to waste thinking about what doesn’t exist.
So, with that, here is what I am grateful for.
1. My Family
I love my family. They are my rock. And I try my best to be their rock. I am grateful I have a supportive, loving, and inspirational family.
Our family vacation picture. We look happy. Because we are.
2. My Wife
My daily rock. My partner. My inspiration. Christina is so many things for me. My sincere hope is I can match her and support her the way she supports me. I am grateful I have a partner in life that inspires me to be better, work harder, love more, and most importantly… a partner that I can be vulnerable with. Our relationship is in constant growth, and I look forward to the future while taking time to be grateful for the present.
We literally grow things as we grow together.
3. My Son
Brandon inspires me every day.
He’s a genuinely nice person. He works hard. He treats people well. He’s good with animals. He’s good with kids. He married a great woman. And I’m sure he will continue to impress me as the years go on.
All I can do is try and keep up.
I love you son.

4. My Dogs
Kazan and Wally make me my heart sing. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to spend time with them.

5. My Friends
Life is better with good friends. People you can trust. People who accept you as you are. And people who inspire you to dream big.
I’ve found that as I get older, I am having to work harder to plan time with friends. I’m not sure why this is. What I am sure of, is I that I’m grateful for the trips I’ve taken this year to spend time with good friends. I am already planning more trips.
I’ve been friends with Tim since grade school. We act like we’re in grade school still.
6. My Adventures
I believe that life is one continuous adventure. But for me, it’s the adventure within the adventure that really gets me excited. I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to travel, take adventures, and experience the world.
7. My Struggles
I was once told that the key to happiness is being able to choose the problems you want to solve.
This year I have definitely taken on huge challenges. I’m grateful for my teammates that have been working tirelessly to help me overcome these challenges. My Natuary Team, in particular, deserves a huge THANK YOU. I couldn’t do what I do without your efforts.
I’m also grateful that I can choose the problems I want to try and solve. I don’t solve all of them. I learn from each challenge I take on. I’m grateful that I am in this position.
8. My Blog and Podcast
Glamptuary has been such a rewarding experience for me. I’ve met so many wonderful people through the blog. I’ve experienced so many wonderful trips. I’ve had so many wonderful conversations on the podcast.
The podcast has led to paying work and mentorship opportunities.
I’m grateful for all the followers and opportunities that have arisen from Glamptuary.
9. My Clients
I’m grateful for all my clients this year. Your trust in me is priceless. And the paid work is much appreciated.
I’m especially grateful for a young woman that I am currently mentoring as she begins her podcast journey. Her name is Margie, and the podcast I am helping her produce is called More Than Able. Margie is an inspiration on so many levels. And I’m humbled to be part of her team.

10. My Future
"The future is not something we enter. The future is something we create." - Leonard Sweet
I’m grateful to have the opportunity to create a future that I’m excited to see and experience. I know how lucky I am to be able to say that. I know many people are not able to affect their future.
